Background

I was born and raised in Libby, Montana. Libby is a small town located in the mountains of Northwest Montana. In 2003, I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting at Harding University. That August, I moved to Wuhan, China. It was here that I met Ted Dahlman, whom I married.  In the summer of 2005, we moved to Lubbock, Texas.  In September, 2006, the Louise-Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts displayed my series - Studies in Patriotism. My painting Texas Cares was concurrently used in the promotional material for the 2006 Lubbock-area “Race for the Cure” events.  In May of 2009, I finished my Master’s Degree in Art Education.  Visit http://tenfeetofchina.blogspot.com to view the work I created in partial fulfillment of these requirements. Since then we have lived in several places, but now reside in Georgia. Ted has retired from the Army and currently works on the base as a civilian. I am a full time stay at home mother of three.
